On Sunday, the ITFE National Team held their third squad session of the year to prepare for the Taekwon-Do European Championships in Bosnia & Herzegovina, focusing on technique and strategy with guidance from coaches. In the morning, they trained together with the development athletes. The next ITFE National Team squad sessions are scheduled for the 6th and 13th of April.

ETA Squad Session

Location: George Green’s School, London

We had the second ETA session of the year in preparation for the upcoming Warrior Open next week, on 1st March. There was a good attendance of about 30 students keen on learning new drills and practicing sparring and patterns with the help of the coaches GM Denis, Master Martinelli, and Master Capaja.

ITFE National Championships

Date: Saturday 8th February 2025

Location: The Dolphin Leisure Centre, Haywards Heath

We proudly participated in the ITF England National Championships as ETA Coaches, where four athletes from Wembley Park Taekwon-Do delivered outstanding performances. Leona Alphonso secured a Silver medal in Special Techniques and a Bronze in Sparring. Van Nguyen achieved a Gold medal in Patterns and a Bronze in Special Techniques. Katy Lee earned a Bronze in Sparring, while Mark Niblock clinched a Gold medal in Sparring. Overall, there was commendable performance from other ETA competitors as well, in a lengthy competition that saw over 400 participants registered.

The 25th of January was a bustling day for the England Taekwon-Do Association (ETA), as we hosted our first squad session of the year, providing students with a fantastic opportunity to hone their sparring and patterns skills. Concurrently, the ETA Technical Committee oversaw the Black Belt grading for two students, one striving for 2nd Degree and the other for 3rd Degree. Prior to the squad session, the ETA Board of Directors, along with Grand Masters and Instructors, convened for the ETA Annual General Meeting.

Elite Stage & Competition

Date: Thursday 9th & Sunday 12th January 2025

Location: Ciudad del Deporte, La Nucia, Spain

For the first time, we had the pleasure of participating in the 2025 edition of the Elite Stage & Competition in Spain. We joined excellent classes focusing on Taekwon-Do sparring and patterns, enhancing our skills and knowledge. The event culminated in the Elite Competition, where I coached the 2024 European Champion Izzy Brider during her pattern performance.

2025 Taekwon-Do classes

We took a short pause during the festive season, but now we’re excited to return to our passion: teaching Taekwon-Do.

Tuesday 7th January marked the start of our 2025 Taekwon-Do classes. It was a true pleasure to welcome both returning and new students!

We sincerely thank you all for your steadfast commitment to Arch Combat Academy – Wembley Park Taekwon-Do, and especially for your genuine enthusiasm for Taekwon-Do.

We offer three groups: Kids 1 for ages 4-6 starting at 18:00, Kids 2 for ages 7-11 beginning at 18:40, and Teens & Adults for ages 12 and up starting at 19:30.

ITF England National Selection

Date: Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th January 2025

Location: Royal Masonic School for Girls, Rickmansworth

On 4th January, a national team selection event was held to determine the members composing the teams for the team events of the upcoming European Championships in Sarajevo.

On the following day, the National Team coaches conducted a national team squad session for the selected competitors, emphasising teamwork, strategy, and preparation as they geared up for the upcoming competition.
