Arch Combat Academy – Wembley Park Taekwon-Do

GRADING INFO

• Date: Thursday 19th June 2025
• Location: Preston Manor Lower School, Main Hall Carlton Ave E, Wembley, HA9 8NA
• Time:
  • Kids 1 – 18:00
  • Kids 2 – 18:40
  • Adults – 19:30
• Students grading: please ensure that you are in the training hall promptly at the designated starting time. Please do not be late. Food is not allowed during grading, yet please do bring some water with you for when the examiner allow breaks. The uniform (Dobok) and belt (Ti) need to be clean and worn properly. Bare feet are required for grading, please no socks or shoes.
• Spectators: up to 2 spectators for each student are allowed in the training hall, please discuss with the instructor should you wish more people to attend. Picture can be taken during the grading, however please note spectators will need to remain in the designated area and keep the level of noise at a minimum at all time.

CRITERIA

• Attendance – the student must have attended at least 80% of the required classes since they started.
• Behavior – the student must have maintained high standards of proper behavior throughout the course, showing respect for the instructor and the fellow students.
• Performance – the student must have performed well before grading, showing good progress from when they began practicing Taekwon-Do.
• Knowledge – the required technical content must be known by the student, including but not limited to techniques, fundamental exercises, and theory (please see “Technical Content” and “Theory” below).
• Fees – the student must have paid all the relevant course and grading fees before grading.
• Kids 2 and Adults will only be allowed to grade for Yellow Belt Green Tag VII Kup and above if they have their own sparring equipment, which must include at a minimum: headguard, sparring gloves, and sparring boots.

STUDENTS INVITED TO THE GRADING AND FEES

STUDENTS NOT GRADING

Students not grading should still be attending at the usual time. This will count as a pre-grading: a chance for them to “practice” in a grading situation and an opportunity for me to assess them.

RESULTS

The results of the grading will be announced on Thursday 26th June.

SYLLABUS

The grading syllabus is formulated based on the standard activities conducted during Taekwon-Do sessions at Arch Combat Academy – Wembley Park Taekwon-Do.

THEORY

Theory questions are based on the content of the Theory Booklet.
