Carlo Martinelli, the founder of Arch Combat Academy, is coaching the ITF England National Team for the World Taekwon-Do ITF Championship. The championship was held in Tampere, Finland from September 4th to 10th, 2023.
The competition was characterised by an exceptionally high standard, and the ITF England National Team managed to secure a tally of 1 Gold and 3 Bronze medals. We extend our warmest congratulations to all the medal winners and the dedicated athletes who participated in this event. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the supporters and photographers who contributed to its success. Your unwavering support played a crucial role in making this achievement possible.
On the 12th and 13th of August 2023, we participated in the Online International Umpire Course to enhance our proficiency and understanding of the regulations governing Taekwon-Do ITF Tournaments.
Excellent seminar with Master Jedut on 7th August 2023, hosted by Docklands Taekwon-Do in Pimlico, London.
It’s such a privilege to learn from Master Jedut, one of the best Taekwon-Do ITF coaches as well as ITF Technical Committee Member.

An ITF England National Team squad session with over 60 talented competitors took place at Westfield Academy in Watford on Sunday 30 July.
This event was joined by competitors selected for the upcoming Taekwon-Do World Championship as well as development squad competitors who wish to be selected for the National Team taking part to the European Championships next year.
The next squad session is already scheduled for 27 August in Watford. This will be the last squad session before the Taekwon-Do ITF World Championship in Finland.

We participated in the 2nd International Coaching Conference held in Limerick, Ireland, which provided a fantastic opportunity to delve into advanced methodologies for coaching Taekwon-Do.

Our Taekwon-Do classes are on Tuesday and Thursday at Preston Manor School, Carlton Avenue East, Wembley, HA9 8NA. Kids start at 18:30 and adults at 19:30. We are an ETA club led by Carlo Martinelli, Arch Combat Academy Founder and Chief Instructor.
Similarly to the last squad session in May, this event was joined by development squad competitors who wish to be selected for the National Team taking part to the European Championships next year. There were also important contributions from Northumbria University about sport psychology and nutrition.

We were delighted to joining the celebration held in honour of the 50th Taekwon-Do anniversary of Grand Master Orello Ellis on 10 June. The day was eventful and encompassed two seminars delivered by GM Ellis and Master Jedut at George Green School, as well as a lovely dinner in a local restaurant.
“I endeavour to see continued growth and development within ETA TKD and to see more passionate instructors that will produce top class students. It would be a positive and great change if the crippling politics in TKD was ostracised and authentic students and teachers train as we should, without restraints. Sadly as the year’s progress in these changing times, business is often the prime agenda in many cases and TKD is secondary, so student’s technical abilities suffer. I don’t foresee this unbalance being corrected in a hurry. Despite this, however, TKD remains to be an exciting art in unarmed combat for self-defence, discipline, fitness, flexibility, self-control, confidence and strength.”
